Thanks to PETA evidence and fast police action, about 200 animals were saved. Support prosecution of the case now!

  1. As a volunteer I can tell you what PETA reported is an absolute misrepresentation of the sanctuary. I am an animal lover and vegan myself. Two weeks ago I would have defended PETA tooth and nail but after how they handled this case I regret ever supporting them. There is so much more to this story that went unreported and Polk County is not letting Butch or Darlynn defend themselves nor are they being given fair legal representation. DarlynN has been hated by the agriculture community, the hog hunting community, and the “mini” pig breeder community for her education and outreach efforts as well as taking in the worst of the worst cases. Furthermore she has never had any problems before when representatives from government organizations have placed animals with her or brought Comunity service workers. This is a wonderful sanctuary that needed more volunteers and unfortunately the PETA investigators used that to create a biased representation.

    1. That’s terrible. Thanks for letting me know. I’ve always been a bit doubtful when it comes to PETA, but I have reasoned that they are doing much for the animals. Would you say they’re always like this or just in this particular case? Do you recommend not signing their petitions and sharing them?
