Animal Advocates Assaulted in Sarajevo

Residents visited the newly formed veterinary centre in Reljevo, a suburb of Sarajevo. This centre is owned by Sarajevo County Novi Grad. The residents were trying to find out what happened to the dogs taken there by “Hygiene Service” Lokom employees. A security guard blocked the entrance to the facility and two of the residents, Maja Sujoldzic and Dalida Kozlic, were assaulted when they attempted to enter. They are home and recovering.

Eldar Kozlic, was one of the residents visiting and he stated: “Residents must know that the Veterinary Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Veterinary Inspection of Canton Sarajevo, and the police are together destroying the state law regarding the animal protection and welfare law and other criminal laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
