Animal rights: “Clean” kill still ends precious life

OC: At times, people refer to the Humane Slaughter Act, a law enacted by Congress. I disagree. There can be no humane slaughter. Ending a life is bitterly cruel and inhumane. If you replace non-human animal with human animal you would understand that humane slaughter is an oxymoron, a law to make HUMANS feel better, yet the animals are still killed, which can never be humane: killing is killing, and, by definition, cannot be done in a humane manner.
